CAHL

Overview

Columbus Warrior Hockey takes a unique approach that extends beyond traditional disabled hockey programs. Through our partnership with The OhioHealth Chiller, we supplement our core offerings with community-based opportunities that welcome a wider network of military-connected individuals and provide consistent chances to play here in the local area.

CWH proudly welcomes current service members, Gold Star family members, and immediate family members of eligible participants to join our Chiller Adult Hockey League teams. By bringing together veterans, active and reserve service members, and their families, we create a unified community rooted in shared experience and mutual support.

This blended model fosters a continuum of support, strengthens personal and community bonds, and helps ensure that every participant—whether on the ice or cheering from the sidelines—contributes to a lasting, positive impact within the Columbus veteran community.

Frequently Asked Questions

I've never played before, can I still join?

Absolutely! If you just want to try things out, keep an eye out for stick & puck, drop-in, or skills development sessions. If you're looking to start playing regularly, sign up for our D League team!

What if I can't commit to a full season on a team?

You can sign up to be on our sub roster for our CAHL teams. This will allow you to play when we are in need of subs and the game time works for you. Sub slots are first come first served.

Can I sign up for more than one team?

You can participate in both Disabled Hockey and Adult Recreational Hockey, but not two CAHL teams at the same time. Additionally, if players sign up for a full time player slot the expectation is that they will not prioritize playing for other teams when scheduling conflicts exist.

I registered! What's next?

Please monitor your email inbox for the invitation to submit your service verification document and sign the waiver so we can get you rostered!
